MILD MINT vs ARCTIC FRESH
These are two very similar types of toothpaste. They are both from the Crest 3D White line. The only obvious difference between these two products seems to be the flavor. If you look at the actual ingredients you can see that they are actually very different. This is significant because it shows that even two tubes that are supposed to be almost the same can diverge greatly.

Mild Mint is one of the flavors of Crest 3d White. This specific tube of toothpaste doesn't have any other special features other than the flavor. The only thing setting it appart from the Arctic Fresh paste is the flavor. Despite this the ingredients are very different. This one contains alcohol where as Arcitc Fresh does not. They both contain Cellulose Gum but only this one has Xanthan Gum. Basically, this one just has a ton more ingredients. The only thing that the other tube has that this one doesn't is mica, which I assume is purely cosmetic. The world of toothpaste is a mysterious place.

Arctic Fresh is yet another Crest 3D White flavor. Like Mild Mint it doesn't have any other special, defining features to set it apart within the 3D White line except, of course, for the flavor. Arctic Fresh has fewer ingredients listed compared to Mild Mint. The only additional ingredient listed that Mild mint doesn't have is mica. I personally would have expected these two to be exactly the same execpt for one flavor related ingredient. The functionality isn't really supposed to be different and I can't imagine how this combination of chemicals would result in a different flavor. The actual ingredient that is meant to alter the flavor is just listed as "flavor". This could mean just about anything.
Also, be careful not to confuse this toothpaste with the similarly named "Arctic Fresh Whitening".
CREST 3D WHITE BRILLIANCE BOOST POLISHING TREATMENT

"Brilliance Boost Polishing Treatment" toothpaste is geared specifically towards polishing teeth with the goal of increasing brilliance. Most tubes of toothpaste will polish your teeth but this one is more focussed and specialized. This goal is achieved through the unique combination of ingredients. One notable chemical that has been included is sodium hexametaphosphate. This serves as an anti-staining tool. It also helps for tartar prevention. I would imagine that this one component is what sets this product apart as a polishing product. If you want boosed brilliance, sodium hexametaphosphate is probably something that you want in your toothpaste. Also, note the lack of fluoride which you may or may not want.

This next one is called "Brilliance Mesmerizing Mint". It is a mint flavored toothpaste that is focussed on producing such brilliance on the surface of your teeth that it is mesmerizing. Unsurprisingly, this product contains sodium hexametaphosphate which we have already covered while talking about the Brilliance Boost toothpaste above. It also contains carrageenan and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, neither of which is really focussed on improving brilliance.

This is yet another Brilliance focussed tube of toothpaste. This one is niether mesmerizing or polishing. It doesn't specifically say that it gives you an extra boost of brilliance like the others that we've already covered. This one is good for if you just want brilliant teeth without all of the nonsense. It does, of course, include sodium hexametaphosphate. This seems to be the key to this feature. It also includes fluoride which isn't always the case.

The focus of this specific instance of Crest 3D White is to care for your enamel. It provides therapeutic care for your enamel. You will feel like the protective barrier around your teeth is being taken care of. This is important but for some people it is even more important. Some people have damaged enamel and need a little extra something to protect their teeth. Unsurprisingly the single "active ingredient" for this tube is Sodium Fluoride. This helps to strengthen and protect your enamel. It is something that one would definitely expect in this type of paste.

This is another brilliance focussed toothpaste by Crest. It contains the normal, expected sodium hexametaphosphate for this type of paste. It does include sodium fluoride as the single "active" ingredient. Everything else is pretty standard. Not a whole lot else helps this specific tube stand out much. The word 'blast' in the name does seem to indicate that it comes with some extra force. Perhaps the ratios of these ingredients are a little bit stronger giving the user some additional effect? It could also just be a marketing term. You might feel better about your toothpaste if you imagine that it is blasting your teeth with brilliance rather than just drizzling them.

This next option from Crest is "Radiant Mint Whitening". It is a mint flavored toothpaste. It inclues disodium pyrophosphate for tartar control. It also includes sodium fluoride which is very common. Most of the ingredients are pretty standard.

This Crest product is geared towards whitening. The name also contains the words 'luxe' and 'glamorous'. We aren't sure what these would mean in the context of toothpaste functionality or in terms of the toothpaste ingredients. We suspect that these are just marketing terms to set this particular tube apart from the others. It contains trisodium phosphate instead of disodium pyrophosphate which I think means that it has 50% more sodium that is bound with phosphate instead of pyrophosphate. They choose to use a combination of PEG-6, PEG-20M, and PEG-23M. The exact reason for this combination remains unclear.
CREST 3D WHITE WHITENING THERAPY SENSITIVITY CARE TOOTHPASTE

This toothpaste focuses on two different things. Those are sensitivity care adn whitening therapy. If you have both of those needs, this might be the pasty concoction for you. It includes cetylpyridinium chloride which we've only seen on one of the other 3D White products. That product wasn't focused on either of the specializations of this paste. Probably the most notable thing about this item is that it actually has two active ingredients. Most that we've seen only have one active with a ton of inactive. It contains the usual sodium fluoride along with potassium nitrate. This is the only 3D white product to include potassium nitrate which is included to reduce pain in sensitive teeth. It calms the nerves in teeth to acheive this. This paste also includes both cellulose gum and xantham gum. Normally, either one or the other of these will be included.
CREST 3D WHITE FOAMING CLEAN TOOTHPASTE

This one is geared towards foaming to to acheive effective cleaning. This is the only paste we've seen so far that includes copernicia cerifera or carnauba wax. This gives it a more creamy consistency. The remaining ingredients are pretty standard.

This is the "Luxe Diamond Strong" version of Crest 3D White. The ingredients don't seem unusual. They are pretty much in line with all of the other products offered. It isn't clear why this would be called diamond strong. I could understand if they increased the ammount of fluoride included but they didn't.

This one is a bit different. This is probably the most unique toothpaste offered in this line. It actually comes as two separate tubes. Both of these tubes contain different ingredients. The first tube lists active and inactive ingredients whereas the second tube just says "ingredients". Besides having two separate tubes, one of the most striking things here is that it contains stannous fluoride instead of sodium fluoride. This is different from most of the other Crest products we have looked at so far. It contains zinc lactate, sodium gluconate, and hydrogen peroxide. All three of these are unique to this specific 3D White paste.
CREST 3D WHITE ARCTIC FRESH WHITENING TOOTHPASTE

This one is has an "Arctic Fresh" Flavor. Don't confuse it with the other arctic fresh product we discussed earlier. This one specifically says "whitening" while the other does not. This one doesn't seem to be a very popular product and we weren't able to actually find the ingredients on Crest's website.
CREST COMPLETE WHITENING + BAKING SODA & PEROXIDE
NOTE - This one didn't have ingredients listed on crest.com but we were able to find them in a product description posted on a third party retailer. The ingredients list may not be accurate for this one.

This one probably doesn't actually belong in the 3D White line. It is actaully a "Crest Complete" product. It looks like it was just misscategorized on Crest's website. Either way, we are covering it here for now. It includes carbomer 956 instead of just regular carbomer. We know that it contains "Blue 1" because we found the ingredients list from a third party site. Crest's website typically just lists "color" but doesn't specify the actual ingredient used for coloring. Strangely, it lists baking soda and peroxide in the name but doesn't list either of these under the ingredients. We also include images of the back of the box showing what ingredients are listed there. They don't seem to match what we have above so they probably aren't accurate. Both of those thigns are included ( with slightly different names ) on the back of the box.

Sodium Fluoride
This ingredient strengthens teeth. It is meant to prevent cavities. It is toxic and shouldn't be swallowed. This is one of the reasons that you are meant to spit out toothpaste. Toothpaste containing fluoride shouldn't be given to small children as they are likely to just swallow it.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
SLS serves a definite purpose. It works as a foaming agent among other things. It can be seen as a controversial ingredient because it can be harsh and cause irritiation.
