Why buy a special toothpaste for kids?

Parents especially know this: Children need to find appeal or attraction to something before being fully persuaded, in their little minds, that it’s even worth trying. And that applies to anything from eating that first piece of broccoli to picking up the baseball and throwing it around for the very first time --- it’s all about getting them to want to do it in the first place, and that is why these special toothpaste companies and their brands have so heavily invested into making such an endeavor possible, because they know its importance. Many of them are parents too, after all --- they know and they care.

Why buy natural toothpastes?

If you want to live to be 100 or older, then now is the time to begin to invest in the natural and the organic. But regardless of your age, young or old, it is never too late to get started because, as they say, you only live once while on this earth. So make it count. Is it not then, worth investing in your own health? We think it is.

Furthermore, and unbeknownst to most out there today, a wide variety of ailments and diseases come by means of the mouth --- or in other words, from a lack of proper oral care. And is that alone not a scary thought that will make your first instinct to pick up the nearest toothbrush, organic toothpaste, and floss and start to fix this problem? We do hope so, for the sake of your own health and longevity. And did you know that recent studies have even found that depression, anxiety, mental unclarity and similar other issues of the mind have even been known to stem from unclean gums, decaying teeth, bad breath itself, and much more?

That’s why you need to buy natural. Take care of yourself. Take care of your next generation - why not the toddlers in the house?

Ingredients in Natural Toothpastes

There are many wonderful ingredients used in these special forms of toothpaste, alternatives to the man-made chemical, fluoride-loving junk toothpastes you may see out there. One such wonderful ingredient that comes in most organic toothpastes, tooth gels, and tooth cremes is that of our good friend xylitol, sugar’s number one arch nemesis. These two, in fact, can not stand the sight of each other. Why is this?

Sugar, processed and refined, destroys the teeth over time. Xylitol does the opposite, using only nature’s ingredients. It is made of fibrous plants and already comes in many fruits and vegetables as well.

Extracts of green tea are another superb ingredient found in almost every single toothpaste of a more organic form, in some way or another. This is not to be taken for granted as green tea’s properties, as we already know from countless modern studies and their proven research, is one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind, a true healer with untapped potential. It is responsible for energy, mental sharpness, antioxidant health and so much more. And since we usually don’t have the time every day to consume the four recommended cups, why not add some in our toothpaste?

But that’s not even all. There are many others out there, of course. We didn’t even mention those of zinc citrate, citric acid, baking soda, papaya plant extracts, and several others unaccounted for, thus far. Research, I’m sure, has yet to find many more beneficial ingredients to include in future organic toothpaste labels and products, not to mention mass stores.

“Organic” is the next great thing already taking many grocery suppliers by storm, and that’s a fact!

Some Controversial Ingredients in Natural Toothpastes

Fluoride is the first to watch out for here: It is toxic and, ultimately, deadly. It destroys the teeth and gums, de-whitens with time and leaves an overall nasty long-term taste in the mouth, not to mention depressing one’s emotions. Anxiety and sleep disorders aren’t uncommon either. Ask any natural doctor. And yes, some natural toothpastes do still contain this deadly assailant, so always read the label before buying.

You don’t after all, want to take a strange mix of healthy and unhealthy ingredients within your toothpaste now, do you? I think not. So go big or go home as they say.

Other natural brands contain lesser amounts of magnesium stearate and triclosan, to name a couple others. These are a big no no. Stay away.
